Day 1 - Welcome to Barcelona
On this Travel with Faith journey, give thanks to God in a city that embraces religious tolerance; a city that celebrates the Glory of God in some of the world's most inspiring churches. You'll have free time to explore Barcelona before meeting your Travel Director and fellow travel companions for a Welcome Reception and orientation of the city to kickstart your pilgrimage.

Day 2 - Explore Bustling Barcelona Dive Into Culture
Spend the morning exploring the spiritual side of Barcelona in the company of your Local Specialist. We Dive Into Culture for an opportunity to see the city’s most celebrated religious monument, La Sagrada Família, stepping through its intricately carved doors, into the creative genius of Gaudí's mind and his breath-taking gift to God. The soaring spires and exquisitely told stories reflected on its outside walls cannot prepare you for the beauty within. The rest of the day is yours to follow in the footsteps of the faithful. You may consider joining an Optional Experience to Montserrat to see the shrine of the Black Madonna, affectionately known in Catalonia as 'La Moreneta', followed by an optional evening of clapping and castanets at an evening Flamenco show. As you watch the twirling skirts and hear the trill of the guitar, you’ll feel the energy of this fiery UNESCO-listed tradition adored by the Spanish.

Day 3 - Journey to Ancient Carcassonne
We journey north, across the Pyrenees and Cathar landscapes bound for the fortified city of Carcassonne. Here we’ll join a Local Specialist to explore this ancient town, which you’ll learn was once the stronghold of pious believers of the Cathar faith from the 12th century until they were persecuted and expelled by the Inquisition. Marvelling at the Cité, you’ll understand why it’s said to have inspired Walt Disney for his Castle of Sleeping Beauty, and you’ll know that the same double-ring of ramparts and 52 towers you see today. You’ll get to relive all the highlights and share your spellbinding stories this evening as you relax over a traditional dinner featuring some of the hearty cuisine for which the region is particularly well known.

Day 4 - Onwards to Lourdes Dive Into Culture
A leisurely start to our day sees us journey west to Lourdes, the global center of the Marian pilgrimage and the holy place where St. Bernadette was said to have had visions of Mary in a cave. Embark on a sightseeing visit of Lourdes’ noteworthy religious sites to gain a real sense of the devotion that pilgrims over the centuries have felt for this place. You’ll trace the story of St. Bernadette of Lourdes, who witnessed the Marian apparitions of the Immaculate Conception and was canonised in 1933, eventually becoming the patron saint of bodily illness. A Local Specialist will accompany you on a visit to St. Bernadette's Grotto, the shrine and her birthplace, and you’ll learn how millions of pilgrims come to this holy place to pray and drink its miraculous water, following the same instruction of our Lady of Lourdes to ‘drink at the spring’. You’ll feel the spiritual importance of this sacred place as you explore the Domain and contemplate the miracles that have occurred since the Virgin Mary’s apparition here. As the sun sets, you’ll have an opportunity to share in this devotion first-hand as you Dive Into Culture for the mesmerizing Torchlight Procession, which has moved through the city's streets since 1858. Join believers from all over the world in singing the Ave Maria of Lourdes – a spine-tingling experience that will touch you forever.

Day 5 - Lourdes Your Way
This morning, you have a chance to attend an international mass held Every Sunday, a one-of-a-kind experience. The rest of the day is free for you to explore, why not wander in the historic center of Lourdes and see the castle and the 100-year-old Pyrenean Museum exhibiting the history and cultures of the mountains? Unlock the flavors of Lourdes sampling its famed Tarbais bean, Pyrenees chestnut, and rainbow trout from nearby mountain lakes.

Day 6 - Off to Uncover the Treasures of Burgos
Our spiritual interlude with France comes to an end as we pass into Spain's Basque Country and continue to Burgos, the historic capital of Castile founded as an outpost of the expanding Christian frontier. Meet your Local Specialist for a sightseeing tour of its medieval center, with the highlight being a visit to the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of Saint Mary of Burgos, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Here you'll have time to spend a quiet moment of contemplation and prayer amidst the many extraordinary works of Renaissance artists and see the tomb of El Cid, the celebrated Castilian nobleman and a national hero. Day 7 - Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela
Follow in the footsteps of Saint James, crossing the Spanish 'North' to Santiago de Compostela. Imagine the thousands of pilgrims who have embarked on this spiritual path, as you travel west through the rolling countryside, as they have in devotion for centuries. On arrival, your Travel Director will provide a brief orientation of this famous pilgrimage site after which you'll have some time at leisure to explore on your own. Perhaps you’d like to soak up the architecture and atmosphere of the city’s winding streets, sample the Pilgrim's menu at the San Franciscan convent-turned hotel and restaurant. This evening, you have an opportunity to give praise at the Pilgrim's Mass, which welcomes the pilgrims who have been received in the city in the last day.

Day 8 - Discover Santiago de Compostela
Join a Local Specialist this morning for a sightseeing tour which includes a visit to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the final resting place of St. James, the apostle of Jesus Christ. The Romanesque medieval cathedral in the heart of old Santiago also marks the end of the Camino de Santiago and you’ll feel the spiritual significance it still has for pilgrims many centuries after it was completed in the 13th century. This afternoon, explore Santiago de Compostela at your leisure, perhaps a more in-depth visit to the UNESCO-listed Old Town with its festive atmosphere and a chance to stop in at one of the cozy coffee shops for a slice of almond-filled heaven, the local Tarta de Santiago. You may also consider joining an Optional Experience to the coastal center of Rías Baixas where you’ll discover the deep fjord-like estuaries of Galicia with our Local Specialist, stopping in O Grove Port and the village of Cambados, before enjoying a refreshing boat trip to sample mussels and Ribeiro wine fresh from the local farms, leaving some space for dinner later at your hotel.

Day 9 - Venture to Fátima Make Travel Matter
Our trip through Spain ends and we continue our spiritual journey south to Portugal. Our first stop is at Vila Verde, to meet the ladies of Aliança Artesanal for a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience safeguarding the old tradition of the Handkerchief of Love. We continue to the Catholic pilgrimage site of Fátima, the path followed by millions of pilgrims to the shrine where three young shepherds famously saw the apparition of the Virgin Mary. Your orientation tour will give you an overview of the history and religious significance of this holy place and you’ll watch how devotees pray for health, happiness and repentance. This evening, peace will fill your heart as you join worshippers from all over the world reciting the Rosary in the hushed and magnificent surrounds of the famous Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima.

Day 10 - Fátima Your Way
We journey to the tiny village of Aljustrel, where the three shepherds once lived, to see their humble home which stands to this day. You’ll have time to witness the power of faith in Fátima at your leisure or consider joining an Optional Experience to Nazaré and Batalha, with its impressive Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória na Batalha built in the 15th century to pay homage to the Portuguese victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota and thank the Virgin Mary for her intervention in their battle with the Castilians. This beautiful Gothic-turned-Manueline honey-hued structure was home to Portugal’s first stained-glass workshop, and you’ll see the radiant beauty all around you as you explore further. See the statue of Nuno Álvares Pereira on his horse, learning how this military commander who was credited with winning this battle and keeping Portugal independent. You’ll leave with a deep understanding of the events leading up to its construction and know that through your visit, you help to support its preservation for years to come.

Day 11 - Continue to Colorful Lisbon Dive Into Culture Connect with Locals
A short journey this morning sees us arrive to Lisbon. You'll meet a Local Specialist who will accompany us on a drive through the lush avenues of the Portuguese capital, past the black and white mosaic pavements, bound for Belém, a district on the River Tagus. You'll see the Monument to the Discoveries and the Belém Tower before we Dive Into Culture and visit the exquisite 16th-century Hieronymite Monastery. The resident monks of the Order of Saint Jerome were tasked to give guidance to sailors and pray for the soul of King Manuel I and beyond its spiritual significance, you’ll be mesmerised by its beauty. After a day of sightseeing, we enjoy an exclusive Be My Guest experience and Connect With Locals for a Farewell Dinner featuring some of the delicious local delicacies.

The city of Fatima in Portugal is most famous for the religious visions that reportedly appeared in the early 20th century. The marian shrine attracts a large number of pilgrims from around the world every year. If shopping is your weakness you will be delighted to find a variety of local crafts such as jewelry, statues, paintings, and clothes in stalls all around the hotels. There are also a number of restaurants specializing in portuguese cuisine, including the National dish called Bacalhau (salted cod stew).
Coimbra & Óbidos Medieval Village (6 - 8 Hours)
Meet your private chauffeur at the dock and hit the road direction to Coimbra, one of Portugal's oldest cities and home to one of the world's first universities.
It was the capital of the country from 1139 to 1256 and its university was founded in 1290. Today this impressive university is still one of the world's most illustrious and the city's biggest attraction. Surrounding it in the old town are fine old churches and narrow streets standing on a hill overlooking the Modego River.
Enjoy a private visit to the Old University. Enter through the "Porta Férrea", dating from the 17th century, and continue towards a courtyard known as "Pátio das Escolas". On the north side lies the buildings of the Old University, the east observatory, and the west the small university church.
Most impressive of all is the baroque style library, Biblioteca Joanina, one of the world’s most resplendent. It was built in the early 18th century with rooms rich in gilt and exotic wood, and lined with 300,000 books. Enjoy a walking tour through the old part of the city, with a visit to the two cathedrals - the Old Cathedral (“Sé Velha") and the New Cathedral (“Sé Nova").

The entire city of Óbidos was declared a National Monument. It is known as the "Weeding Gift" because it was a gift that D. Dinis gave to Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day in 1282. However, it is not only this fact that makes it such an extraordinarily romantic place - which makes it one of the most romantic medieval towns in Europe are its incredibly picturesque cobbled streets lined with colorful houses full of geraniums and bougainvillea, Gothic doors and windows, whitewashed churches, pots and glazed tiles all surrounded by the walls of a 12th century castle.

Alenquer for Wine Lovers & Óbidos (6 - 8 Hours)
Today, meet your private chauffeur at the dock and hit the road towards Alenquer, for an exclusive treat at selected wine Estate, a wonderful and enchanting property for its buildings architecture and for its beautiful vineyards.
This wine estate is located in the surroundings of Aldeia Galega and it spreads over the sunny hills’ of Alenquer, a Delimited Region in the northwest of Lisboa. Its historical and excellent vineyards are known since the 16th century and have belonged to Diogo Duff, a brave Scottish man who received the "Tower and Sword" insignia, given by King João VI. Alice and Paulo Tavares da Silva bought the estate in the 1980s and made significant investments in its 45ha of vineyard. The introduction of new cultivation methods has allowed the family to consolidate the quality and reputation of their wines.
In an accompanied visit, you can get to know the wine making technology and methods used in the Quinta to produce their elegant wines, learning every step of the wine process. After understand how the wines are produced, see for yourself how they are stored during the ageing process that gives them some of their most typical characteristic. Follows a private and lectured wine tasting, lectured by the responsible for the oenology department, Sandra Tavares da Silva, the daughter of the owners, or by the resident oenologist, so you can confirm the high quality of their product. The family will invite you for lunch at their house.
Sandra is making wines in both Estremadura and the Douro, which necessitates travelling between the two regions three times a week. Since then her day job has been as winemaker for Christiano Van Zeller at Quinta do Vale D. Maria in the Douro. In 2000 she began making wines from her parents Estremadura estate, at the Quinta you will visit. With their depth of fruit and fine structure these have rapidly established a reputation as being among the best of the appellation.

Dressage Experience, Wine & Lunch with the Countess (6 - 8 Hours)
Your day begins when you are collected at the port by your chauffeured luxury vehicle. Drive direction to Muge in order to visit a magnificent Horse & Wine Estate.
This estate belongs to the Álvares Pereira de Melo family for almost four centuries. In this House lived during over a year the Queen Leonor, third wife of King Manuel I, sister of the Emperor D. Carlos V and mother of Infanta Dona Maria.
Upon arrival at the estate, you will be welcomed by the master rider at the Riding Hall and you will have the opportunity to ride a Lusitano Stallion for a classical dressage lesson.
After this unforgettable experience, you will have time to taste their wines from the different varietals (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir) as well as selected blends such as Padre Pedro, Herdade de Muge and Marquees of Cadaval. The house oenologist will lecture you on the “secret” flavours while you taste.
Then, you will be invited by the owner (Countess Teresa Álvares Pereira Schönborn-Wiesentheid) of the Domain, to have lunch at the Palace. *Subject to availability
After lunch, a cart pulled by two noble studs, expects you to explore this very unique farm, going through the vineyards, natural reserve where you will meet the mares and foals. Your day at the farm is almost ending but, before leaving, tea will be served by the lake spotted with local birds,in magic scenery of tranquillity.

Tomar & Óbidos Jewish Inheritance (6 - 8 Hours)
Today, meet your private chauffeur at the dock and drive towards Tomar, a charming and historically outstanding town located in central Portugal. It is dominated by a 12th-century Templar castle containing one of the country most significant and impressive monuments, the Convent of Christ (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO).
Enjoy a private visit to the Templar Castle and a private visit to the Museu Luso-Hebraico Abraham Zacuto (Abraham Zacuto Portuguese-Jewish Museum). It is housed in the oldest synagogue in Portugal and it displays a variety of interesting artifacts from Tomar and around the world.
Next stop will be Óbidos, Portugal's most romantic medieval village.

Enjoy a walking tour inside the walls. This walled town, with its narrow streets spreading from the foot of the castle, still preserves all the atmosphere of a 16th century mediaeval town.
The Jewish quarter, an area was once inhabited by traders, artists and scientists, was in the centre of the town, close to the Rua Direita and the beautiful 16th century Renaissance church of Santa Maria, where it is possible to appreciate the paintings of Josefa d'Obidos, one of the most important 17th century Portuguese artists.
Since it was the property of the queens of Portugal, Obidos always enjoyed special protection from the royal court and at one time had a school of arts and sciences. The effects of all this culture are clearly evident in its artistic heritage, in particular the Manueline palace that was built inside the castle walls (now converted into the Obidos Pousada).

Although work started on this project in 1882, this iconic church is not expected to be complete until 2028!
Next, visit Parc Guell, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi's most colourful creations. Continue along Passeig de Gracia, to view Gaudi's Casa Batlló and Casa Mila from the outside, with its brilliant wave-like façade.
After lunch, lose yourself in the narrow streets of the true heart of the city - the medieval Gothic Quarter. Here you will visit the magnificent 13th-century Cathedral, and the Picasso Museum, where some of the painter's earliest works are housed. At the end of your tour you are transferred back to the port.
