From the North
Reach Florence (if by the Autostrada A1 exit at Firenze Impruneta) follow the blue signs to Siena (a 4 lane superstrada Firenze-Siena begins at the A1 Firenze Impruneta exit). Proceed on the superstrada in direction of Siena and exit Siena Ovest-Porta San Marco, at the stop sign turn right towards Siena, proceed in the round about in the direction of Centro and Stadio (the Grand Hotel Continental is in the historic centre of Siena), stay on this way (strada di Pescaia) up to the traffic light. At the traffic light take a right, proceed all the way up hill and turn as the street goes left, at the stop turn right, follow the main street to the Centro and Stadio, up to finding the entrance to the Stadio on the left and on the right the church of San Domenico, maintain the route another 400 meters, and following a slight left curve, prepare a sharp turn to the right (white sign to Grand Hotel Continental) leading to the square Piazza Matteotti with a round grass garden in the centre, cross over to the opposite side, passing the new paper booth to your right, to the main road (access is permitted only for hotel guests) up to the square Piazza Salimbeni (with a statue in the centre) for temporary parking during arrival and departure for luggage withdrawal. The Grand Hotel Continental is just a few steps ahead to the right. If you have a GPS please use the following address (please do not use the hotel address!): Viale Curtatone, 16 Our only entrance to the limited traffic area is Piazza Matteotti. The use of any other entrance is subject to Ticket.

Take the A1 Autostrada to Florence - Firenze, exit at Valdichiana, at the stop turn right following the blu signs to Siena. Approaching the city (40km) stay to the signs indicating Tangenziale-Firenze, from this freeway exit Siena Ovest-Porta San Marco, at the stop take a left turn, proceed in the round about in the direction of Centro and Stadio (the Grand Hotel Continental is in the historic centre of Siena), stay on this way (strada di Pescaia) up to the traffic light.
